Appearance:

Kiara is pretty well a typical lioness, her frame sleek yet muscular. It isn't hard to see her parentage as traits of her father and mother are clearly visable. She has a pale golden coloured fur, somewhere inbetween her parents colouring, with pale beige creeping from her muzzle, down her just and under her belly. This same beige also runs beneath her eye, and a slightly darker beige above forming a ring around her dark lashed eyes, which she gets from her father, a redish-orange colour. Slightly darker fur lines her ears, and has a dark poof of longer fur on her tail tip.

Personality:

Kiara is very much her father's daughter, but hint of her mother shows through too. She is quite strong headed, willful and even a little mischevious. She can be a little naive, but generally is quite intelligent. She's very loving, sweet and caring. She does, however, love to have fun, even as an adult. More than anything she doesn't like being treated like a princess very much, feeling a rather stiffled and frustrated from her father's over protectiveness. She wants to be normal and not treated like she could break or get hurt. She wants to be able to prove she can do things on her own, but keeps not being given the oppertunity to do so, her father always sending Timon and Pumbaa after her to keep an eye on her.

She's a little more open minded than her father, able to see past the differences between her pride and the outlanders, and was the first to really see the good in Kovu as she had not her father's prejudices. Kiara is also very compassionate, and would help even an enemy who was in trouble.

Abilities/Weaponry:

Kiara has most of the abilities one would expect from a feline. Sharp teeth and claws are her only weapons. She's fairly agile, able to leap and run easily, however they are not the most nimble of cats. While they can climb, lions are not able to as easily as their leopard relitives.

Unlike most normal felines, she can obviously talk and have facial expressions, and is able to somewhat manipulate her paws in a hand-like fashion to some extent.

Weaknesses:

When it comes to stealth, Kiara fails. She has not yet accomplished her first solo hunt, having problems with being able to sneak up on her prey, usually causing too much sound.

She has a big heart and would do anything she can for and protect anyone she loves despite the risk to herself and would even help an enemy.

Also in Paixao, she's pretty, well, normal. No magic powers or anything like that. She's also completely ignorant of humans and things like that. Culture-shock whut?

History:

Kiara was born as the Pride Lands had recovered from the dire condition it had found itself in through Scar's reign. The young princess loved to explore much as Simba had when he was her age. One day she went off to play, and managed to ditch Timon and Pumbaa (her babysitters) and headed towards the banned area known as the Outlands. Near the border she met a cub named Kovu, the son of one of the lionesses, Zira, who had supported Scar and had been exiled to the Outlands. Kovu had been hand-picked by Scar to be his replacement, although was not actually Scar's son. Narrowly escaping a river of crocodiles, they were soon found by Simba and Zira and taken back to their retrospective homes.

A few years later, Kiara had grown and it was time for her first solo-hunt. Begging her father not to send Timon and Pumbaa after her, she headed off on her own. However, Simba's worry for her was too great and he sent Timon and Pumbaa to watch her anyways. Meanwhile her hunt hadn't been going well, and she soon discovered Timon and Pumbaa. Upset at her father, she raced off vowing to complete her hunt away from the Pride Lands, but she was unknowingly falling into a trap set by Kovu and his brother and sister.

Vitani and Nuka got fire from the Elephant Graveyard and brought it to the savannah where Kiara hunted and set the grass ablaze, trapping Kiara. Then appeared Kovu, rescuing her from the fire and asking Simba to join his pride. Simba decided to allow him to come to the Pride Lands, but would reserve judgement. Kiara meanwhile began to befriend Kovu and ultimately sending Kovu's plans to get close to Kiara so he could kill Simba astray as Kovu and Kiara began to fall in love.

Discovering this, Zira plotted on her own and when Kovu and Simba wandered off to have a talk, Zira and her group surrounded and attacked Simba, leaving Simba to think Kovu had led him into a trap, which had not been the case. Simba manages to get away, but is hurt and exhausted. Meanwhile Kovu argues with his mother and is cast out from the Outlanders. Returning to Pride Rock he approaches hoping to straighten things out, but Simba's mind is made up and he makes his judgement - banishment.

Kovu it run out of the Pride Lands, much to Kiara's sorrow. Simba bans Kiara from even leaving Pride Rock without an escort. Hurt by her father's actions she flees to cry in the cave, but manages to find a back exit and escapes from Pride Rock to search for Kovu.

During this is when she finds herself in Paixao.
